To discover the Lower St. Lawrence region afresh, follow the Route bleue du sud de l’estuaire (RBSE) which follows the shoreline for nearly 400 kilometres with a network of 95 riverside sites between Berthier-sur-Mer and Les Méchins.
The RBSE was the first “route bleue” opened in Quebec in June 2005. It offers numerous services and privileges to Water Trail members : free wilderness campsites, kayak rests, and discounts from many merchants.
Come admire the region’s sunsets rated among the most beautiful in the world. You will be charmed by the beauty of the estuary islands which are often must-see destinations for sea-kayakers, such as the Kamouraska Islands, Île Verte, Bic National Park, and St-Barnabé Island, just to name a few. With any luck, you will encounter seals, whales and seabirds.
